Curious What It's Like to Work with Us?
This review Is for any adult child like me having to make gut decisions on the Senior care of a parent. My need for decisions came unexpected and sudden with the death of my father, a need to find my 91 year old mother a safe memory care home and help to pack up and sell our family home of 50 years all while living out of state and dealing with Covid 19. I made one all to NexSeason Transitions after reading an article about Lisa Wilson and Sherri Selman and their focus on helping and caring for seniors If anything I have written hits home, then calling Lisa and Sherri is your answer. They stayed by my side until my Mom found a place that fit her needs. They helped me find resources to get the house packed up. Lisa a top real estate agent sold that sold the house within weeks and despite my worry my mom found happiness and peace and thanked me. I will be honest facing all the emotions of loss was hard, but Lisa and Sherri understood, let me cry, stood by my side in finding answers and laughed with me to keep my spirits up. If you choose to let them, be a part of your life you will be blessed.

Last November my mother was placed in a Rehab facility in Georgia and I needed help in locating an Assisted Living Facility for her, post rehab. I was referred to Sherri and Lisa and am so very grateful for that recommendation. I live across the country and would never have been able to handle all of the red tape, Medicare issues, etc that came with this new territory. These ladies are invaluable and I can’t recommend them enough. They have been my earth angels and have helped me navigate the last 10 months with clear communication, compassion and empathy and a level of understanding of the Geriatric world that I never expected. Lisa was exceptional when it came time to sell the house. I am forever grateful for these women!!
I want to thank you for making the sale of my home and the transition to Independent Living so easy! At our first meeting I felt assured that I could count on NexSeason to handle the sale of my home quickly as well as managing the different vendors I needed to accomplish my transition. My family and I were thrilled with how we received multiple offers within a few days! Sherri and Lisa made it possible for us to complete the entire transition process from start to finish in 35 days. I was so pleased with how everything worked out; and I am happy to be in my new phase of life.
I approached NexSeasons because it was becoming more and more evident that my 96 year old Mom was going to need assisted living. NexSeasons helped me by reviewing Mom’s needs and arranging tours to several facilities that would be a fit and provide the best care for her. The result was better than I could ever have hoped for. Before Mom could even move in, she became hospitalized, and it was apparent that she would need to go into hospice care. To complicate matters, the hospital was going to release her in 24 hours. I don’t know what we would have done without the guidance and help of NexSeasons. Sherri Selman recommended a wonderful hospice, and an assisted living that we had previously visited was able to take Mom the next day. One thing I liked was that they are very familiar with many of the facilities in the area, and because they worked to find out the specific needs of my family, Mom was able to live out her days with the best care possible. NexSeasons was a comfort and an invaluable resource in a most stressful and sad situation. I highly recommend NexSeasons to people who need an empathetic, professional and knowledgeable resource when it comes to finding the next step in an elderly loved one’s life journey.
I highly recommend using Lisa Wilson and Sherri Selman with NexSeason Transitions if you need help moving your elderly parents. Lisa sold my parents home within a few weeks with multiple offers for a 45-year-old home in very poor condition. Lisa and Sherri were able to find an assisted living facility, an auctioneer to dispose of personal property, junk removal and moving company. They made all the arrangements and made the transition as smooth as possible. They were easy to work with and very professional and were A++ in every way possible. They made a very difficult and trying endeavor much easier than it could have been.
Lisa provided exceptional service during the selling of my current home and the purchase of a new home. She was very responsive and took care of every detail from start to finish. Lisa has great attention to detail and made sure nothing was left undone and was very professional in her interactions with not only me but the other realtors. I'd recommend Lisa to anyone looking to either sell or buy a new home. She has a heart of gold!
After interviewing other agents, Lisa impressed us with her knowledge of local market valuation. She did her homework instead of just reciting and basing it on nearby comps. This included defining the target demographic, highlighting items in the house that attract them and coming up with a tailored marketing plan. She had fantastic connections with staging and contractors for the repairs that were needed. Our house sold immediately for a higher offer price than any of the other agents proposed.
Having come to that time in our lives when we had to make decisions about our next transition before time made them for us, like nearly all seniors, we found the prospect of dealing with the move, downsizing, sale of our home, disposal of unneeded things a very daunting challenge. After reviewing their brochure, we contacted Nexseason Transitions. Their planning and guidance through the whole transition process was invaluable. From moveout, to estate sale, to prepping our home for market, move in, and closing it all went amazingly well. Lisa and Sherri’s guidance and counsel through the whole process took a lot of worry off of us. We have no problem recommending their services to anyone considering a similar move.
Until it happen to you, you never realize what it’s going to be like.
Suddenly, my 92-year-old mom, who had lived independently and alone in a condo in Tucker, Georgia, for more than 40 years, had to be moved to assisted living. The facility is in the south of Florida, and my brother works there. He would, thus, be 570 miles from the condo. I live and work in South Carolina, about a four-hour drive from the condo.
How in the world would I be able to prep the condo for sale? It contained years and years of accumulated… stuff. I would only be able to come on weekends. It might take a year!
Fortunately, since my brother works at an assisted living facility, he heard about full-service Realtors. He was able to get a recommendation that we hire NexSeason Transitions. Wow! Are we ever glad we did!
My brother and I hired Lisa Wilson who is a Senior Real Estate Specialist and her partner Sherri on February 3rd of NexSeason Transitions. We packed up some of my mom’s things, but were unable to move any of her furniture because of the prohibitive cost of shipping so far. We left a pantry and refrigerator full of food, closets full of clothes she could not longer wear, a laundry room crammed with assorted junk, furniture in every single room, and probably about seven tons of books.
My mom wasn’t exactly a hoarder, but when you live anyplace for that long, you do tend to accumulate stuff. And she is of that generation that doesn’t believe in throwing anything out.
I honestly don’t know how Lisa and Sherri were able to get that place cleaned out and cleaned up so quickly! And, keep in mind they couldn’t even start until Feb 4, at the earliest, because my brother and I were in the condo trying to pack up what we could of Mom’s stuff and wait for her to be released from the hospital.
But, they did it! By March 15, the condo was on the market. And, less than 24 hours later, it was under contract! We closed on March 28th. They did such a great job that we had THREE offers as soon as the condo was listed. We were fortunate enough to get a cash offer pretty close to our list price.
I can’t say enough about the fantastic job NexSeason Transitions (Lisa and Sherri) did for our family. They kept us posted via text and phone calls and answered all our questions promptly.
I hope and pray that you never find yourself in our situation. But if you ever do, or if you ever need a Realtor, Lisa Wilson is the woman for you and NexSeason Transitions will provide all the services you could possibly need. Lisa and Sherri took the stress out of a very stressful situation and provided our family with a great outcome.
I am a VERY SATISFIED customer of NexSeasons Transitions.
When my wife and I made the hard decision as old folks to downsize and move to be nearer our children we were referred to NexSeasons. In our meeting we were delighted to hear of the array of services the company offered. We took advantage of several.
First, Lisa Wilson listed our house. We had an offer within 48 hours which closed six weeks later. As with any huge transaction there were a couple of hiccups along the way. Lisa handled those very well and led us, like a true professional, through those to a successful closing.
In addition, she referred us to a moving company that specializes in senior moves. We were delighted to use their services as well. We still wait to move in, but while moving out their recommended company was full service. They packed, moved us packing a temporary and permanent shipment, and arranged for storage of our permanent items in a climate-controlled internal access facility. Truly one stop shopping.
I strongly recommend NexSeasons Transitions for any seniors who are contemplating that hard decision to downsize and move. I don’t know how they could have been any more helpful.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Lisa Wilson and Sherri Selman when I decided to scale down and move to a Senior Living Community in Duluth. Both ladies were very professional, courteous and didn’t pressure me one bit to list with them. I’m so glad I did!! I dealt mostly with Lisa who was very patient and understanding with the stress of changing to a whole different lifestyle. She even spent the day with the when the inspector was there so I wouldn’t have to be there alone. This touched my heart and was above and beyond what is required to be a good agent. She held my hand through the whole process. I HIGHLY recommended each these ladies.
From the day Charlie and I met you, we were very comfortable with both of you and impressed with how you presented your business of helping seniors who need to relocate. “NexSeason Transitions” is a perfect name for your business. Let me explain why we decided to hire you. Sherri actually explained all the planning and services that are available and how she and her ‘team’ would work with us. Lisa explained the real estate portion. You work so well together.
We were very happy in our nice home and we do miss our life there. But ... being octogenarians, the reality of keeping up with all the chores of homeownership was starting to bog us down! One by one, we had to find ‘someone’ to cut the grass ... then trim hedges. Pulling weeds (once something we almost enjoyed) became very difficult for us. Charlie was spending much time outside, in the hot Georgia sun, just trying to keep our front yard looking good. Next I gave in to hiring a cleaning lady - once a month. I no longer could trust my knees to climbing a ladder when light bulbs needing replacing, etc. We replaced windows with new ones. However ... they still had to be washed, now and then. Not as easy as I once thought. After a year or so of trying to keep ‘all the balls in the air’, we realized that we were wearing ourselves out mentally and physically plus our checkbook was suffering. We decided to look at what other housing options were available for people our age without having to move far from this area.
Enter Lisa and Sherri. They explained how they could help us through the whole process of relocation. We found a senior apartment by ourselves, but “looking back” we should have let them help us with that, too.
The apartment we chose is very nice, but is half the square footage of our house, and no garage. It was obvious that we had to downsize ‘big-time’! Sherri and Lisa were there with ideas on how to get rid of all the years of all our good and bad ‘stuff’. They also had names of qualified movers. They suggested ways to deal with all the memories and must haves that are in everyone’s home. We chose to do most of the sorting and packing ourselves with the help of a daughter who gave up some weekends to help us.
Selling the house was the last thing for us. We did not want to have potential buyers see the house before it was totally empty of our belongings and cleaned up, both inside and out.
Lisa understood our wishes and was ready to put up a For Sale sign as soon as we said “NOW”. She had researched the housing market and knew the price range. (She even asked her husband look into why the gas logs in the fireplace, weren’t working. Turns out there was air in the gas line. He knew about such things and got it working again.)
It has been two months since we made the move. We are slowly getting used to our new lifestyle. The house was sold shortly after Lisa put up the “For Sale” sign. The new owners are lovely and even invited us to visit them sometime.
Many thanks to NexSeason Transitions!
I attended a seminar at an independent living facility, hosted by Lisa Wilson from Nexseason. I spoke with Lisa after the seminar and knew immediately that when the time came for me to make the transition to independent living, I would want Nexseason to help me. Lisa and Sheri came to my home and walked me through the process of what was required to help me transition to independent living. They were very patient and put me at ease. My home was put on the market and was sold quickly, due to Nexseason's expertise in helping senior citizens.I cannot thank Lisa and Sherri enough.
We had a great experience with NexSeason. They managed to coordinate a year's worth of work, in terms of coordinating the downsizing of my parents’ house, getting them moved, getting the house ready for sale, and selling it, all in about a month and a half. Lisa excels as a realtor, and very thorough. Both Sheri and Lisa are straight shooters, who do what they say they are going to do, in the time frame they say they will do it. They were excellent communicators every step of the way. We could not have done this without them.
